The Social Services Department is responsible for providing medically related Social Services to each resident of the facility. The Department is staffed with a Licensed Social Worker and an Assistant. They are responsible for advocating for resident’s rights and informing residents of those rights as well as their responsibilities. They assist residents with grievance issues, provide Advanced Directive information to residents and their families as requested by the resident, obtain absentee ballots for residents, and refer residents to outside resources as needed. They also assist residents by arranging transportation for any outside referrals/resources. They provide emotional support to residents who may be adjusting to a new living environment as well as the families of those residents.
